Description: This effort is for the formal qualification of the Composite Rotor Blade which is required for incorporation onto the Block III AH-64D Apache Longbow aircraft. The formal qualification includes generation of the production design, design/fabrication of the tooling, and completion of the qualification of the second-source composite material. This requirement is sole source to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company, 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, Arizona, 85205-9797. This requirement will be accomplished under Contract DAAH23-01-C-0092. See Numbered Note 22.
