Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award or multiple awards for the provision of on-site diagnostic services (North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 621512 $11.5 million) for inmates at Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp located in Otisville, New York. The on-site diagnostic services include, but are not limited to: Mobile Resonance Imaging (MRI) Services (closed unit), Computerized Tomography (CT) Services, Nuclear Cardiology (Stress EKGs), and Ultrasound Services (echocardiograms, vascular, general) to be performed at the FCI by mobile unit truck. The contractor will be responsible for providing a mobile unit and test readings for each examination. Services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The contract term shall consist of a base period from the date of award through 12 months with four (4) subsequent, 12 month option periods for renewal if exercised. The services/sessions length will be a maximum of eight (8) hours per visit with approximately 10-15 inmates being examined. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option period are four (4) visits for CT, four (4) visits for MRI, four (4) visits for Ultrasound, and six (6) visits for Nuclear Cardiology (Stress EKGS) per year. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be available on/about March 15, 2004 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about April 23, 2004. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered. See Note 1.
