Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice: The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), intends to acquire construction services for our facility at Pocatello Supply Depot, Pocatello, Idaho. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to re-roof approximately 18,360 SF (existing roofing on the front, middle and back of the warehouse) and replace forty-three (43) existing windows and other general construction in accordance with the statement of work, specifications and drawings. The construction project is to improve the energy efficiencies (heating and cooling) of the Pocatello Warehouse. Prior to construction, the contractor is required to submit manufacturers’ catalog cut-sheets and shop drawings for approval. The following information will be furnished to potential offerors: (1) drawings of the proposed construction and, (2) specifications. It is anticipated that a single award will be made. All effort shall be completed within approximately two months (sixty-nine (69) days) after award and the issuance of the notice to proceed. This is a full and open procurement which is to be awarded as a fixed price contract. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation, #APHIS-04-018, is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. It is anticipated that the solicitation, #APHIS-04-018, is to be released on or about March 18, 2004 and proposals will be due thirty (30) days after the release of the solicitation. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will not be issued. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be made available electronically on the following website: www.FedBizOpps.gov. The specifics for availability of the specifications and drawings will be reflected in the posted solicitation (request for proposals) which is anticipated to be released on or about March 18, 2004. All changes to the pre-solicitation notice, solicitation and attachments shall be posted to the website at: www.FedBizOpps.gov. The offeror must submit a street mailing address and an email address (if available) in all correspondence in reference to this requirement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Proposals will be due no later than 2:30 p.m. local time on April 19, 2004.
