Description

The Fort Myer Military Community, (Army Band), Fort Myer, Virginia intends to award Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price contract to Violin House of Weaver, 4705 Highland Avenue Bethesda, MD 20814 for a Viola, made in Holland circa 1780 bearing the label of Pieter Rombouts in Amstedam anno 1720. This viola has a two piece back of quarter cut maple having strong horizontal flames. The ribs are of maple having closer flames than the back. The scroll is maple having a close but faint flame. The top is two p ieces of medium maple with grained spruce. The color of the varnish is a golden brown. Measurements for the back: length – 407mm; upper- 189mm; middle- 162mm; lower 232mm (1) each. A Viola Keller, s/n: VA13 will be a trade-in. Pricing is to inc lude shipping. This award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The FSC Code is 7710 and the NAICS Code is 339992.
