Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has interest and is seeking sources capable of providing solutions for upgrading the audio-visual hardware for its public tour. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. Solicitations are not available at this time, and as such any request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The BEP is interested in upgrading its current hardware to meet the needs of the new and emerging technologies in the BEP Tour gallery, Tour Bridge and Visitors Center located at the Washington, DC facility. BEP is interested in Technology Contractors capable of developing a plan to phase in these updates to the Visitors Center, Tour Gallery and Tour Bridge in a manner that is least disruptive to the current public tours being conducted. This requirement is vital in that while all of the information provided via the current systems is informative and educational, it is also a major timing mechanism for tour staff (completed spiels prompts tour staff to move group to the next area within our tour gallery. Tour operators must have the ability to remotely control the audio-visual playback functions for all of the tour stations, which include the area where tourists convene before beginning their tour, and each of the four stations in the tour gallery. At this point, the BEP does not intend on purchasing hardware from any particular manufacturer, but would like to review literature and pricing as part of a market research plan to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. (Those contractors on GSA schedule please submit a copy of your contract in addition to your response) All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Interested parties should contact the Contract Specialist, (David J. Mork Telephone number 202/874-9177, Fax number 202/874-2200 or by e-mail david.mork@bep.treas.gov) to arrange for a Site visit.
