Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. Offers are being requested and there will be no ot her written solicitation issued. Responses should reference RFQ No. W9124-J-04-0017. This document incorporates the provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-02. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set Aside. The recommended North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334519 with a corresponding size Standard of 500 Employees. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible off eror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers; technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government require ment, price, and delivery. The closing date is fifteen calendar days after RFQ publish date in the Army Single Face Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Web Site. DESCRIPTION: The Southern Region Contracting Center West, Mission Branch, intends to procu re (0001) Six Chemical Detector Hand Held CW Blood and Choking Agent Detectors which includes Belt Wearable Carrying Case, Confidence Tester, Operations Manual and Spare Sieve Pack (0002) Replacement Sieve Pack 10/Package equivalent to Smith Detection Mode l LCD-3. Award is to utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items. The following FAR Provision apply to the acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, without addenda; FAR 52.232-3, Offeror Representations and Ce rtification Commercial Items. All offerors are to include with offer a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 which is available upon request by calling Connie Russell (210) 221-5400 or fax (210) 221-4452; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation ??????Commercial Items; 52.212- 4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, with addenda, and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders-- Commercial Items.
