Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial repair services onboard a United States government naval aircraft carrier. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N627934068050 applies and is issued as a request for quote. This solicitation is for the following service: Cryogenic cleaning of two (2) exhaust ventilation systems ( E01-155-1 and E02-174-2 ) located onboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75). Ventilation systems shall be cleaned by the dry ice blast cleaning method. Contractor must provide a minimum of two (2) Air Cleaning System Specialist (ASCS) certified by the National Air Duct Cleaner Association (NADCA) to supervise duct cleaning. Contractor will be required to maintain a continuing status of task. Report progress, problem areas, s ignificant results, and recommendations and provide hard / electronic copies as directed by a COMNAVAIRLANT, Code NC434E1, representative. Contractor will be required to provide an end of visit report. The report shall not be limited to before and after cleaning photos (digital ) of significant areas of duct. Contractor shall provide a detailed inspection of duct system after cleaning, submit findings with a Firm Fixed Price bid proposal to refurbish to original state. Contractor shall dispose of all dirt and chemicals used in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet, 40 CFR (part 260 series ) and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Notes: 1.) Contractor personnel must have a minimum security clearance of confidential to work onboard ship. 2.) Bib proposals must be a firm-fixed price. 3.) Work is to be performed onboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-7 5) located at the Naval Operations Base in Norfolk, Va. 4.) The Government Integrated Planning Activity located in Chesapeake, Va. intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offer whose quote conforms to the solicitation requirements, and has the lowest price. 8. This solicitation incorporates the applicable FAR clauses for a Commercial Acquisition in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the following DFAR requirements / Military Standard: Paragraph 211.274.4 ? ?Item Identification and Valuation?
