- Description
- The Department of State intends to enter into negotiations with Gelco Information Network GSD, Inc. (Gelco), 1860 Michael Faraday Drive, Suite 150, Reston, VA 20190-5304, for maintenance and support services for the Department?s worldwide Travel Manager system. The system to be supported is comprised of Gelco?s proprietary Travel Manager COTS software package with customizations for the Department to enable audits and data interfaces with the Department?s core financial management system (Central Financial Management System). The Department acquired and holds software licenses for Gelco?s Travel Manager. The Department has recently begun preparing for a migration to the new, mandated, government-wide Travel Service (eTS) and will soon begin a phased implementation to one of the Government approved vendors/service providers. It is projected that the new eTS will eventually replace the Department?s implementation of Travel Manager. In the interim, the Department requires continued maintenance and support of the current Travel Manager system so that there are no gaps in service from our current system until the Department completes the migration to eTS. The Department?s phased, multi-year migration of travel management functions to eTS is anticipated to be completed in FY 2008. The resultant contract is projected to be for a four-year period (a one-year base with 3 one-year option periods). All responsible sources shall respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical information literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirements. The response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirement. No telephone requests will be honored. Failure to submit documentation will result in the Government proceeding with negotiations.
