Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source, Firm Fixed Price contract with the AGFA Corporation of Ridgefield, NJ. Our intent is to incorporate this requirement into the existing contract with AGFA Corp for various locations within VISN 12. This procurement is for the maintenance, service and emergency repair of the AGFA picture archiving and communication system PACS) located at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Hines, IL. The system is comprised of AGFA equipment, components and proprietary software. Service is for the period Beginning April 01, 2004 through September 30, 2004 plus 3 option renewal periods. Recent upgrades were made to the system by the manufacture and are currently under warranty. Based upon the above we believe that the AGFA Corporation is the only company that can perform the services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the firm's capability of working on the specified equipment and ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with AGFA Corporation.
