- Description
- The purpose of this modification to F7335440680100 is replace the previously posted description with the description cited below. Air Mobility Command (AMC), is hosting AMC Technology Days 2004 at Scott AFB, IL 5-6 May 2004. The objective of this meeting is to provide a forum for industry and research conduits to present maturing technologies that can be rapidly fielded. Our focus will be on available technology solutions to support warfighter?s operational capabilities. Our sight picture is to examine the technologies ready for transition within the next eight years, with focus reflected in the following topic areas: Force Projection o Aircraft Survivability o Air Refueling o Precision Airdrop o Autonomous All-Weather Landing Base Opening o Force Protection o Operations Support in Austere Environments Information Superiority o Secure, Global Connectivity and Information Technology Additional details for each topic area are explained on attachment 1. The primary medium for this forum are the briefing sessions. Each day we?ll have briefing sessions, one hour session per group (four in the morning and four in the afternoon). The nominal breakdown for each of the sessions is: Brief - 40 minutes Q&A - 10 minutes Break - 10 minutes. The briefings will be held on the 3rd floor of Bldg 1700, in the McClellan Conference facility. The audience attendance will be limited to military, civilian government officials, and government contracted subject matter experts with signed non-disclosure statements so briefings can be open to proprietary only discussions. The McClellan Conference facility has space for 150 people and can be divided into two rooms. Using the briefing session scheme described above, there are 16 time slots with the potential for up to 32 if the conference room is divided and simultaneous briefings held. This all depends on the response from this call for briefings. In addition to the briefing sessions, tabletop/pop-up exhibit/display tables and an ice breaker will be at the Scott Club. On May 5, the Scott Club will be available for limited tabletop/pop-up displays and exhibits for interested staff officers and leadership. The hope is to provide an opportunity for AMC staff to interact with industry and lab representatives on a one-on-one basis. Also, after the May 5 briefing sessions, there will be an ice-breaker at the Scott Club to further provide opportunity for interaction. Due to limited space and power availability, there is only room for 20 exhibits tables and limited poster board presentations (expect 8?X2? tables). Updated information regarding layout of the club will be provided through email. If you intend to brief/exhibit/demonstrate a technology, send exhibit requirements (to include space and power) and a two-page executive summary/abstract to us no later than March 31. Due to the limited time slots available, a selection process will be applied, if response dictates, based on applicable topic areas. The announcement of final presentation schedule/agenda will be provided by April 7. Final presentations for those selected are required by close of business April 21. Anyone wishing to present/participate in the conference must submit a registration form no later than April 28. Each presentation group presenting/exhibiting is required to pay a conference fee. The conference fee includes: conference charges, coffee and light refreshments, and the Ice-breaker. Check-In and exhibit booth setup is tentatively scheduled to take place from 7:30 - 9 a.m., May 5. Tear-down of exhibits is required after the ice-breaker. The use of cameras or audio/visual recorders is strictly prohibited throughout the conference except during the ice-breaker. Export and import licenses, taxes, and/or shipping for any exhibit are the responsibility of the person(s) providing it.
