Description

The actual Point of Contact for this project is Shelley Martinez, Contract Specialist, (817)886-1090. Project consists of constructing a Student Dormitory to house 400 personnel (200 rooms) designed to a modified pipeline student standard. The desig n of the dormitory will include room-bath modules for residents, training manager areas, an elevator, laundries, storage and lounge areas, a lobby, fire protection provisions, site improvements, pavements, communications, and all necessary utilities. The project also provides for a central Military Training Leaders (MTL) function located within the dormitory building. Functions are to include administrative areas, a CQ area, briefing rooms and other ancillary functions typical to dormitory buildings. The construction and aesthetics of the Student Dormitory will be compatible with surrounding buildings and the recently completed Student Dormitory 3227.Estimated Construction Range is Between $25,000,000 & $50,000,000. Solicitation will issue on or about 8 April 2004. Proposals will be due on or about 7 May 2004 at 4:00 p.m., central time. Duration of project 660 calendar days. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 236220. Small Business Size Stan dard is $28,500,000.00. This is an UNRESTRICTED solicitation. All qualified business concerns may submit offers. Offers from large business firms must comply with FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. Th e Fort Worth District subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractors total planned subcontracting amount to be placed with the following: Small Business 57.2%; Small Disadvantages Business, 10%; Women-Owned Small Business, 10%; Serv ice-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, 3.0%; and HUBZone Small Business, 3.0%. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge on the issue date. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through CD-ROM and/or the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contract ors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
