Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Central Office Business Office is seeking a licensed health care professional in the Washington DC commuting area, to perform Technical Writer services for the Health Services Division, Medical Director?s office. A single award, Indefinite Delivery-Requirements contract based on Firm-Fixed Session Rates is anticipated. Contract services shall include but are not limited to: Working with the Medical Director to develop and format Clinical Practice Guidelines on disease management such as tuberculosis, HIV infection, diabetes, and hypertension, estimated 520 Sessions per contract period; Develop educational tools for summarizing Clinical Practice Guidelines, estimated 260 Sessions per contract period; Develop assessment tools to measure health care provider knowledge of Clinical Practice Guidelines, estimated 260 Sessions per contract period; Provide educational objectives and assessments of education effectiveness to ensure Continuing Medical Education accreditation for education programs for BOP health care providers, estimated 260 Sessions per contract period; and develop Continuing Medical Education accredited program for long-distance learning, estimated 260 Sessions per contract period. Contractor will also be required to provide briefings to the Medical Director on guideline development. The contract term is expected to consist of a 12-month base period, with provisions for four 12-month option periods. An estimated total of 1560 Sessions is anticipated per 12-month period, consisting of no more than 30 Sessions per week. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 2, 2004, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizopps.gov) . All future information concerning this requirement, including the solicitation and any applicable amendments or special notices, will be also appear hear. No paper solicitation will be distributed. Interested parties will be responsible for monitoring this site to ensure the most current information regarding this acquisition, is obtained. The anticipated due date for receipt of proposals is April 30, 2004. This date is subject to change, depending on the actual release of the solicitation. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible offerors will be considered.
