Description
The project consists of maintenance dredging and disposal of dredged material by hydraulic dredge and pipeline at various locations on the James River. The contract will be awarded as an Indefinite Delivery Contract with Task Orders issued for variou s locations on the James River. The Contractor shall provide all necessary plant and equipment capable of dredging to depths of 30 feet below mean lower low water, and efficiently pumping dredged material at distances as far as 15,000 feet. The Contractor will be required to use and maintain Government furnished placement sites for all dredged material on this contract. The total contract price including options shall not exceed $5,000,000.00. Duration of this contract is one-year (365 calendar days) with four one-year option periods. THIS IS A 100% SMALL SET ASIDE ACQUISITION. SIC Code 1629 applies. NAICS Code 237790 applies. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicit ation is via the Internet. The solicitation will not be issued in paper format. Notification of amendments may be made by facsimile, floppy disk, compact disk and/or postings to the Internet. The media selected for solicitation amendments shall be solel y at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, as separate notifications for each amendment may not be sent to planholders, bidders shall be responsible for monitoring the Internet for amendments. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. PRE BID CONFERENCE NOTICE: A pre-bid conference will be held on 27 April 2004 in the Multi-Purpose Room at 2:00 p.m. of the Norfolk District, Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096. The purpose of this conference is to answer questions potential bidders m ay have concerning the contract and requirements.
