THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY EFFORT EXPENDED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. ( NAICS CODE: 813312) Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico seeks to have a provider for services of Animal Control to include the impounding of all animals deemed a nuisance. The Animal Control Offical/Personnel/Organization shall maintain a suitable means for impounding and transporting such animals in accordance with provisions incorporated as applicable to the laws of the state of New Mexico and the federal installation, Kirtland Air Force Base. All such animals shall be humanely treated and fed by the The Animal Control Offical/Personnel/Organization until redeemed , placed or relocated. 171 calls were turned in to Security Forces from 01 October 2002 through 30 September 2003. These were for dogs and coyotes only. This need will include all vertebra animals except humans. The successful organization/firm/personnel should have experience in state laws concerning Animal Control (all , public health, public safety, federal and local enforcement. (Organization/firm/personnel will be required to work with Security Forces). Knowledge in the protection of pets and people with education and intervention. Organization interaction in communication and cooperative endeavors. Ability to treat the symptoms while seeking to eliminate the causes by compassionately using the tools of education and enforcement. Accredited/certified based on state accepted standards in the humane handling and transportation of animals. The Organization/firm/personnel is responsible for any travel requirements. Period of performance should consist of a base year and four (4) option years. Interested organization/firm/personnel should submit a written response anotating the following: NAICS code in relation to size standard of your company organization.
