- 16?CYLINDER ASSEMBLY. Item NSN: 1650 01 099 6745, PART NUMBER: 50-6819-7. 12 EA. Applicable to: E003A/B/C. Destn: Tinker Air Force Base Ok 73145-3032. The approved source(s) retain data rights,manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government. Delivery: 12 each due on or about May 2005. The approximate solicitation issue date will be on or about 29 March 2004. The government intends to award to this requirement to the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable Source who is qualified at the time of award. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. Surplus Material is ?NOT ACCEPTABLE?. Currently there are three approved sources, (Cage Codes: 50601, 81205 and 98315). It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. AWARD WILL NOT BE WITHHELD AWAITING QUALIFICATION. For qualification information/source approval requests contact Source Development Office, OC-ALC/BC/ (405) 739-7243. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
