Description

Anticipated release date of this solicitation will be 2004 April 13 with an anticipated closing date of 2004 June 1. This RFP is to solicit proposals for both a 3 year multi-year and annual basis plus option years. This solicitation is restricted to U.S. and Canadian sources. The M155mm M107 HE Projectile is hollow steel shell filled with 14.6 pounds of TNT or 15.4 pounds of Composition B. The shape is ogival with a boat tail for aerodynamic efficiency. A supplementary charge of 0.3 pounds of TNT is contained in an aluminum l iner in the deep fuze cavity. A threaded lifting plug closes the fuze cavity at the nose of the projectile for handling and storage. A rotating band encircles the shell casing near the base and is protected by a grommet. Producers will have to have essent ial, specialized tooling and equipment to produce the M107 Projectile MPTS. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. dollars. Notes 9 and 13 apply.
