Description

Rental of one Aero Commander 680FL or equal, high-wing multi-engine aircraft, with auxiliary fuel tanks, for a Beluga whale aerial survey out of Anchorage, Alaska. This survey will be conducted in Cook Inlet, Alaska. The Vendor will have a Part 135 Operating Certificate. This survey is expected to start June 1, 2004 and end June 10, 2004. An estimated 56 flight hours is projected with normal missions of 5-7 hours duration. This aircraft will be fully Vendor operated using a pilot and co-pilot who have Alaska marine mammal survey experience. Maximum payload is 1,000 pounds. The aircraft and pilot will be approved for low-level activities under the Alaska Aircraft Rental Agreement. The aircraft will have clear bubble windows with a view for observers looking downward and outward, interphone with headset for all passengers/pilots which includes a master control box with on/off switch, desk for computer at rear seating location, a GPS with data port, at least one opening window but two opening windows is preferred. The Government will evaluate Vendor offer on a best value basis. Evaluation items include price, aircraft offered, pilot experience and company project experience. Please contact Jan A.
