Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with GT Software, Inc., 1314 Spring Street NW, Atlanta Georgia 30309,USA under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.501(a) "Sole Source Acquisitions" to purchase an additional proprietary license for BMS/TS software. SSA currently owns BMS/TS software licenses and increased workloads require SSA to purchase an additional license. It is our understanding that GT Software Inc is the sole provider of the BMS/TS software license. Unless SSA hears otherwise by April 21, 2004, SSA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with GT Software Inc. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill this requirement. A solicitation is not available; therefore, written and/or verbal requests for copies of a solicitation related to this announcement will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
