Description
The National Implanted Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) Surveillance Center located at the San Francisco VA Medical Center (SFVAMC) intends to cause a contract to be awarded for the development of ICD Surveillance Center Web Pages. The planned ICD web pages and database will be on the VA INTRANET. No patient data may be taken off-site. The Web server is located at the SFVAMC, 4150 Clement St., San Francisco, CA 94121, Bldg 203, Room 2B2. The vendor will develop new Web pages in AST.Net with maximum validations for VA clinic inputs. The new web screens will use the new ICD Portal SQL 2000 database and allow for individual log-on using personal login and passwords. Person logged on will only see their patient data. The new Web pages must be interactive. It must be capable of allowing registration of new patients with ICD devices, their personal information, device information, medical information, and allow updating and/or revising of the same and retrieval of other selected information by using query searches of relational database. The VA Web administrators will have the ability to change passwords or create new passwords for users. Additionally, the successful vendor will have to review existing Paceart SQL 2000 relational data for understanding of the data base structure, tables, relationship between tables and field names. The data from the web input pages initially flows into a temporary SQL 2000 database for review and revision/correction of errors, prior to parsing (electronic movement) to an existing permanent SQL 2000 relational database. The new Web pages and programming shall become the property of the VA. The VA administrator is willing to provide a CD of existing web pages in ASP (without data), and will work with successful vendor in identifying and mapping tales/fields in the existing SQL 2000 relational database, and will assist fully in the testing of the new Web page data to insure it flows into the existing Paceart SQL 2000 database. The successful vendor may have to sign a Business Associates Agreement and may have under go a security clearance background investigation.
