Description
The purpose of this amendment is to clarify questions from potential offerors pertaining to RFQ, and to correct an error in the specifications listed in the RFQ. Question 1 - Will you supply a foundation for this machine? Answer ? Yes. The Government will prepare the site, including the foundation, for the placement of the machine; Question 2 - Will we need a machinery mover to move the machine from the truck to the Machine Shop? Answer ? Yes. As stated in Section L, the contractor shall provide shipping, rigging and installation, which includes any necessary equipment; Question 3 - Do you have a Plot Plan so we will know what kind of equipment that will be needed to move the machine to the location? Answer - The site will be easily accessible and only standard rigging equipment will be necessary, such as forklifts and machinery skates; Question 4 - On page 32 of 35. Item B Chuck 12 - is it manual or power type? Answer - 12-inch chuck is power type; and Question 5 - Page 32 Is Fanuc 18 or 21? Answer - Either 18 or 21 is acceptable. Question 6 ? Section C ? Specification for 12 in CNC Turning Center, Item K, Tooling asks for radial and axial toolholders. Can it be assumed you require the live (power rotary) tool holders? Answer ? Yes. As stated in Item J, the Government requires the specified quantity of (milling/drilling heads). These items are live (power rotary) tool holders. The specification listed in the solicitation is revised for "drilling/ milling? from ?drilling/milling of 12 stations" to ?drilling/milling of 6 stations?. The solicitation was issued on 4/19/04 with original synopsis published on 3/25/04 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home pages at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm
