Description
1. PROJECT INFORMATION: The project will consist of constructing new family housing units and include as a minimum the following items: a. The Family Housing Project consist of site adapting prescriptive housing unit designs and completing the design for construction of thirty-one (31) duplexes, sixty-two (62) residences. These consist of twenty (20) three-bedroom and forty-two (42) four -bedroom housing units. Of this total, there are four (4) single-story handicap-accessible units required for this project. The 3 and 4 bedroom non-handicap unit will be two-story structures with crawl spaces. The handicapped accessible units will be si ngle-story with slab-on-grade foundations. Each house unit incorporates a double-car garage, a concrete driveway for additional parking, and covered front porches. b. Site Work consists of site preparation, supporting utility systems, demolition of existing housing units and site improvements. The external construction includes outdoor recreational facilities, pedestrian walkways, tot-lots, area lighting, landscapi ng, new roads, exterior lighting, utility extensions for gas, water, sanitary sewer, electrical, communications, paving, walks, curbs, storm drainage, and miscellaneous site improvements. The project will also include demolition of seventy-four (74) exist ing housing units, consisting of four-plex structures. This includes demolition and removal of foundations, existing roads, complete removal of existing utilities and the restoration of that site to a natural state. This demolition shall be scheduled upo n completion and beneficial occupancy of the new Family housing units constructed under this project. c. The Government owns the land where the new housing will be built. Beneficial occupancy to the Government is currently scheduled for on or about 31 October 2006.
