- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a Delivery/Task Order against Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-03-G-0004 to the McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516 on a sole source basis for the period from 01 September 2004 to 31 December 2007. This award is based on 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), whereby the supplies and services required are available from only one responsible source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available, and no formal requests for proposal (RFP) or other solicitation regarding this announcement is currently available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. GENERAL INFORMATION: As the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and supplier of the F/A?18 Weapon System, the McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC) is uniquely qualified to accomplish the subject requirement. Section 5.0 will continue the zoning of F/A-18E/F components un-zoned during previous phases, incorporate the zoning packages into the Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), and continue repair supportability improvements to IETMs to improve fleet readiness. New repairs will be developed for Organizational (O), Intermediate (I) and Depot (D) maintenance levels, and incorporated into IETMs or engineering documents for documentation and guideline purposes. MDC is the only firm with the knowledge, expertise, and technical data required to accomplish the engineering and logistics studies, support functions and tasks associated with the F/A?18 ADRD program. MDC possesses unique and proprietary F/A-18 peculiar engineering data, capabilities, resources, and expertise required to perform the aforementioned requirements.
