Description

Modify/upgrade CP-3800 dual channel, dual detector gas chromatograph to measure air samples for ammonia, methane and nitrous oxide. Instrument currently is equipped with autosampler (CP-8200), injector (CP-1079), dual capillary columns, and TCD and ECD detectors. Modified instrument must be able to detect ammonia, methane and nitrous oxide. Instrument should be equipped with 1/8″ packed columns of the appropriate length, manual or micro-electric actuation sampling/switching valve, and sample splitter if necessary to simultaneously determine targeted gases. Bids should be submitted with the option of detecting ammonia and methane to 1) 10-20 ppm V/V or 2) <1 ppm V/V. Both options should include nitrous oxide detection to 10 ppb V/V. Modifications must be compatible with software Star WS System 1 (v. 5.31) for 3800 GC, and have at least a one year parts and labor warranty. Instrument will be shipped to successful bidder for modifications with autosampler and external computer system removed. All removed hardware is to be returned intact to owner, with installation instructions to convert instrument to either a capillary or packed column system. Instrument modifications are to be completed within six weeks. All required detectors, valving, tubing, connections, columns, system assembly and testing should be included in submitted quote. Costs associated with on-site installation and training (1 day) should be submitted as separate quote.
