Description

THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING AND PRINTING IN APPROXIMATELY 15 DAYS. This is a re-advertisement of a previously issued solicitation. The project consists of the restoration and enhancement of the Tecopa Charcoal Kilns heritage site for public visitation, safety and education. This includes the professional restoration of the only remaining masonry ?beehive-shaped? kiln used between 1875 and 1910 to supply charcoal for mining smelters. The project is located southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada on State Route 159 (Charleston Blvd) to State Route 160 (Blue Diamond Road). Take SR 160 west to Pahrump, Nevada. Turn north on Wheeler Pass Road. Travel about 16 miles and at the entrance to Clark Canyon (Forest Road 071), turn left on Forest Road 566 for about 5 miles to the Wheeler Wash Road (Forest Road 601). Turn right and about 3.5 miles, the kilns will be on the left. NAICS Code: 237990; Size Standard: $28.5 Million. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Estimated start date is 8/01/04 with completion by 10/31/04. This proposed procurement is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, which is not a small business set-aside.
