Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, is conducting a market survey for technical information/catalogs, potential sources and price estimates on Key Card Entry Lock Systems. This is not a soli citation announcement merely a market survey for information and planning purposes only. A review of the information gathered may result in a solicitation announcement being published in the Federal Business Opportunities at a later date. All interested firms regardless of size, are encouraged to respond to this request. The Directorate of Public Works, Family Housing Division, Fort Leonard Wood is considering a requirement for Key Card Entry Lock System for unaccompanied enlisted permanent party personnel housing. The following traits, at a minimum are desired: -Compatible with existing door hardware, i.e. door hardware refers to the inner door hardware. Intent is not to redrill the doors or change the inner workings of present doors. -Work with existing door hardware. -Compatible with the government issued identification card but also utilizes the standard key card. -Includes installation on site. -Includes required hardware/software system(s) and on site training for operation. -Capable of coding a key to open at least six (6) different doors at a time for customers/contractors as well as masters that will open all doors for administrative personnel and law enforcement. -Installation will include approximately 169 each solid core interior doors located in barracks complexes, 48 each solid core interior doors located in medical barracks complexes, 360 each solid core exterior doors located in housing areas, and 523 each ho llow core interior doors located in housing areas. -Must have capability to expand system as new facilities are constructed.
