Description
Subject to final approval, the Bureau of the Public Debt, Administrative Resource Center (ARC) intends to award on a sole-source basis to Artex, Inc., 8712 Spectrum Drive, Landover, MD 20785-4761, for the inventory, packing, local transportation in the Washington, DC area and long-distance transportation to Parkersburg, WV, including storage, and installation of approximately 200-250 framed historic posters and definitive security displays. These historic pieces are one-of-a-kind, priceless, irreplaceable, framed pieces, and require proper handling and treatment in the preserving, transporting, storage, and installation. Artex, Inc. has the specialized experience in the field of packing museum objects, maintaining a storage facility of high security and climate controlled warehousing (temperature and humidity), and the technical know-how for customized installation. Artex, Inc. has the multiple skills required to handle these museum quality pieces, and the capability of meeting the entire project’s requirements. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. Public Debt will consider all affirmative responses received no later than 2:00 p.m. EST on May 13, 2004. A request for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered an affirmative response. Affirmative responses shall be accompanied by sufficient evidence that clearly shows the vendor’s ability to provide all requirements, at terms more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative response is received that clearly demonstrates ability to meet all requirements and that is more advantageous to the Government, we will make a sole-source award to Artex, Inc.
