- 22 NSNs cite drawings for which the government does not have in its possession sufficient data to purchase this part from other than the current approved sources. 3 NSNs cite drawings that are source controlled and only the source(s) cited on the drawings have been approved. Even though sources and approved part numbers are provided, the items furnished must meet the requirements of the cited drawings. Offerors who are interested in qualifying their product for purpose of future acquisition must contact the cognizant design activity specified on the source-controlled drawings. Also, may include additional approved sources that have not been reflected on the drawings at this time. Drawings cited may be subject to export-control regulations for which distribution is limited to those contractors qualified to receive restricted drawings as listed on the Certified Contractors Access List (CCAL). Destination Information is based on indefinite quantities, deliverable at various locations. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered. See Note(s): 9, 26 This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The solicitation will be available on its issue date of 24 May 2004 at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp. The Small Business size standard is 750 employees. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This is an unrestricted set-aside.
