- Description
- The Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC) Mechanicsburg, in conjunction with our Contracting Office – the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) - will be hosting a Contractor Work Fair in Mechanicsburg, PA on Wednesday, 19 May 2004. The purpose of this work fair is to announce possible new and changing requirements for technical support services as a result of the DISA Organization Transformation which is in process and will continue throughout fiscal year 2005. As a result of this transformation, it is possible that current skills and abilities under existing technical support service contracts will change and new skills and abilities will be needed. Information concerning existing contracts, as well as, any potential changed and new technical support service requirements will be presented at the fair. Our goals are to obtain quality technical support services and to reduce operating costs through increased competition (which may reduce the number of contractual vehicles to manage). We plan on conducting competitions using set-aside programs. Positions planned for recruitment include, but are not limited to: database managers with knowledge of DB2, Oracle, IDMS, DATACOM Statistics, and M204; other computer specialists with skills in mainframe help desk experience and network monitors; open systems specialists with skills in remote management of servers, UNIX Systems Operation, Tivioli, HP UNIX Systems, Sun Systems; personnel with knowledge of STIG, ERP and SAP, Oracle 91AS as well as computer specialists with knowledge of traditional computer security, RACF, SSR, ACF2 and Top Secret products. DECC Mechanicsburg will need individuals with network experience, end user support, logistics and engineering for computer systems, communications services, and customer services skills. The “Contractor Work Fair” will be conducted between 8 AM and 4 PM, on Wednesday, 19 May 2004 at The Holiday Inn Harrisburg West, 5401 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Signs in the lobby will direct you to the proper meeting room. We’re looking forward to your attendance and participation in the “Contractor Work Fair “ and invite you to contact Dennis Cox, Executive Officer (717) 605-6819 or Joseph Jurdana, Customer Support Specialist (717) 605-4610 for more information or questions regarding the event.
