Description

Project No. G-03-500, Replace Standly Generator, Bldg #8 at Akasaka Press Center, Tokyo Japan. This project includes (but not limited to); (1) removal of stand-by generators, transformers, batteries, silencer, (2) installation of stand-by generators, transformers, and automatic transfer switch, (3) construction of concrete foundation and a shed for a generator, (4) modification of the existing power system, and (5) installation of directional grounding system. Performance Period: 180 calendar days after receipt of award. Performance Bond (100% of contract price) is required for this project. The offeror is also required to submit Past Performance Information for the most relevant 5 contracts to this project by 1 Jun 04. All offerors are encouraged to participate the site orientation on 20 May 04, 1300 hrs. Participants will meet at Main Gate, Akasaka Press Center, Minatoku, Tokyo, Japan. (Note: Advance notice to POC below is required.)************** NOTE: THIS SOLICITATION IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOCAL SOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 5.202(A)(12). LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS IN JAPAN. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION.
