Description

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), has a requirement to acquire a one year renewal for IQS Business System Maintenance and Technical Support for a 20 license system. Implementation services purchased include additional licenses; consulting services ? on-site and off-site; certified on-site training and report writing. The purpose of this project is to position FDA for a phased implementation of an ISO 17025-accreditable lab quality system to support FDA/CBER?s regulatory testing program. Activities of the project involve working discussions with a limited group (5 to 6) of CBER?s employees regarding initial plan for development and implementation of the following modules: employee skills and training (IQS Involve); equipment management (IQS Prevent & Calibrate); Product & Data Collection (IQS Product & Collect). It is anticipated that this award will be made on a sole source basis to IQS, Inc. Cleveland, Ohio, because the software/licenses being used is proprietary to IQS and they are the only company that has the expertise/skills required to maintain the software/equipment. They are the only vendor that can provide the necessary on-site/off-site training for usage of this software. This requirement is a renewal of an ongoing need for constant consultation/training regarding the usage and updates of the software currently being used. Therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement.
