- QUALIFIED VENDOR APPLICATION THIS IS SET ASIDE FOR 8(a) CERTIFIED COMPANIES ONLY. The FAA is seeking qualified certified 8(a) candidates to provide one (1) full ??? time Microcomputer Specialist to be an on ??? site technician and work 40-hours per week, at the FAA Great Lakes Regional Office in Des Plaines, Illinois. Will provide support to approximately 350 end users. Candidates must have knowledge of Microsoft environment: Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98 and 95, Windows NT server, Windows NT workstation and Novell Client environment, using primarily Microsoft Office 2000/XP Professional software. Backup staff with equal or greater qualifications must be available to fill in for absences of the primary service employee due to illness, vacation and training. Service to start on or about October 1, 2004. Funds currently are not available for this project. Qualified vendor list evaluation criteria applications will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation criteria. Only those firms found qualified will receive the solicitation package. Firms will be debriefed at the conclusion of the evaluation process. No legal liability on the part of the FAA for any costs incurred by prospective offerors, for preparation and submission of the Qualified Vendor Application for this service. The effective date Services are to commence is October 1, 2004 for an initial period of one (1) year. There are four (4) one-year option periods. Prior to award company must and have at least three (3) years experience in providing On ??? Site Technician service and have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year and be within a fifty (50) mile radius of Des Plaines, IL. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE FOR THE INITIAL PERIOD IS $50,000.00 TO $70,000.00. NAICS Code is 51821.
