Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services/items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quote for a DAILY charter cost under RFQ No 701814Q030. This acquisition and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAR 2001 22a. This is a small business set aside. Vendor/Contractor to provide seaworthy charter vessel for 14 to 16 days beginning at 0800 June 20, 2004 and ending between 0800 July 4, 2004 to 0800 July 6, 2004. Length of contract must be flexible to account for poor weather conditions, equipment failure or unseen circumstances. USFWS will pay only for days the vessel is used. Area of operation is Prince Willim Sound Alaska and USFWS personnel will meet the vessel in Whittier, Alaska. The vessel will provide transportation and support for 8-9 people during the first time period working on USFWS Pigeon Guillemot Contaminant Sampling project. Bids from dual boats (i.e. one boat for fuel/gear and another for personnel...etc) will be accepted as long as vessel specifications are met. Vessel should be at least 50 foot in length. The following provisions 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items and 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. A completed coy of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items must be included with the offer.
