- Description
- This solicitation is open to all "set-aside" small businesses. NASA/MSFC has a requirement to procure eighteen (18) pieces each of a Motorola Amplifier, part number AR347, with associated MRF157 transistors. This amplifier design covers frequencies from 2 to 50 Mhz with a power output level of 1000 watts using MOSFET's, amplifier description listed below: 1. Frequency Range- 2-50 MHz 2. Power Input - 10 watts (typical) 3. Power Output - 1000 watts (typical) 4. Input Impedance- 50 ohms 5. Output Impedance- 50 ohms 6. Input Voltage - 50 volts DC 7. Input Current - 40-50 amps (typical) There are a variety of transistors that can be incorporated into this amplifier, NASA/MSFC requirements are for the MRF157 style. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than May 31, 2004. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
