Description
This synopsis is for a future competitively solicited, 5-year IDIQ, firm-fixed price contract in support of the Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio Systems (SINCGARS). A single award will be made to the best overall proposal that is determined t o be the most beneficial and offer the best value to the Government. The contractor shall provide spares for the RT-1523A and RT-1523D receiver/transmitter. These SINCGARS items were originally designed and produced by General Dynamics Land System (GDLS). Additional engineering efforts may be required by prospective contractors in order to successfully produce these items. Potential bidders shall have demonstrated capabilities in dealing with SINCGARS or similar frequency hopping Very High Frequency (VHF) Combat Net Radios (CNR) in the following areas: multilayer circuit card manufacturing, redesigning circuit card assemblies (CCA) to eliminate obsolescence, redevelop and/or trouble software, testing at CCA and radio system levels. In addition, the potent ial bidder shall possess the necessary security clearance to deal with COMSEC equipments. Obsolescence and configuration management will be the contractor’s responsibility. All obsolescence costs shall be included in the unit price of the hardware o n contract. The proposed contract will also include repair services.
