- Description
- The United States Agency for International Development (USAID/) in Honduras intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) in full and open competition. The resulting performance base contract will increase rural incomes by promoting the competitiveness of micro, small and medium rural enterprises; expanding local sales and export market opportunities and promoting value added production and private investment in rural areas. As a result of this activity, USAID expects the following: Result 1 – Exports and local sales of rural goods and services increased Result 2 –Rural Household Incomes Increased Result 3- Rural Employment Increased Result 4- Program-assisted MSME investments and contributions for the implementation of this program match USAID’s investments Result 5- Access to market information, business management and technical skills training for MSMEs increased Result 6 – More competitive clusters and improved business linkages for rural MSMEs Result 7 - Access to technology made available to rural MSMEs Result 8 – Financial services made accessible to rural MSMEs Result 9 - Sustainability strategy developed to enable continuity beyond the end of the Contract Result 10 – Alliances established with the private sector to leverage USAID’s resources Place of Performance: Honduras, Central America Period of Performance: Five years (Not to exceed September 30, 2009).
