Description
POC FOR THIS PROJECT IS MR. GEORGE F. RUSH. TECHNICAL QUESTIONS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO MR. RUSH AT 251-694-3715; FAX: 251-694-4264. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM (OPEN TO EVERYONE). This work consists of Rental of Hopper Dredge with Attendant Plant and Operators for Maintenance Dredging in navigation channels along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, Alabama, and Northwest Florida. The primary work location is intend ed to be Mobile Harbor, however, work at Pascagoula Harbor, Gulfport Harbor, Pensacola Harbor and Panama City Harbor are also possible. The work will consist of removal and satisfactory disposal of material above -52 feet. Excavated material will be tran sported and deposited into the Gulf Open Water D/A. Hopper Dredge should have pump discharge of 24 to 33.5 inch diameter with all necessary materials, supplies, labor and transportation. Note: The above general outline of the work does not in any way li mit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Estimated cost range of this project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation documents should be available on or about 1 June 2004. Mr. Gene Curtis is the Contracting Officer for this project. NOTES 1. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Registratio n should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. The plans and specifications will be issued on the internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. 3. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. 4. Critical Path method (Network Analysis System) is not required. 5. For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $17,000,000 for the past three years. 6.
