Description

The intent of this project is to provide, install and test an Active Item Storage System. The system shall consist of walk-and-pick, flow-through storage racks and takeaway conveyors. Replenishment/back-up stock will be stowed on pallets at upper rack levels. Stock replenishment will be accomplished by government furnished, narrow-aisle reach trucks. Scrap fiberboard, generated during the stock selection process will be transported via a trash conveyor system to a government furnished hopper. The trash conveyor system is an optional item. In addition, the Contractor will disassemble existing pallet rack, palletize and band the rack and delivery to a location on the installation for later use. The Contractor will furnish training to Government personnel in the operation and maintenance of all equipment furnished. The contractor shall provide a warranty for one year after final acceptance. The Government will evaluate proposals based on the following factors: Technical/Business proposal, past performance and price. Technical and Past performance are equal in importance and when combined are significantly more important than price. The solicitation package will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about June 11, 2004. A pre-proposal conference/site visit is anticipated; further information will be in the solicitation. To receive awards resulting from this solicitation, your company MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Registration is available via the Internet at www.ccr.gov.This acquisition is unrestricted and open to both large and small business concerns.
