- Description
- This acquisition is a Full and Open Competition. This acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237310 with a size standard of $28.5 million. This project consist of furnishing all necessary labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary for modifications at Casa Grande Substation. The work involves removing 0.1 miles of 230 kV transmission line; constructing 0.1 miles of 230 kV transmission line approach span; furnishing and installing concrete foundations, grounding system, conduit, bus system, signs, power and control cable, gravel surfacing; installing Government-furnished steel structures, two 230 kV power circuit breakers, disconnecting switch with ground blades, current transformers, coupling capacitor voltage transformers, duplex switchboard sections; relocating and installing Government-furnished 230/115/12.47 kV power transformer and one 115 kV power circuit breaker. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated and the period of performance is 150 calendar days. The project magnitude is estimated between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Place of performance is Pinal County, AZ. The evaluation technique to be utilized for the contemplated award of the issued solicitation is Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT). Under PPT procedures, past performance will be evaluated. It is anticipated the solicitation package to include specifications and drawings will be available at no charge on or about 7/15/2004. Requests for a CD copy of solicitation are required. All requests for this solicitation and/or questions concerning the requirement MUST be submitted in writing to the address below. No phone calls will be accepted. Written request for the (RFP) should be mailed to the Department of Energy at P.O. Box 6457, Phoenix, AZ 85005-6457 or faxed to (602) 352-2483 attention Susan M. Ethridge. Include the company name, point of contact, physical address, telephone and fax number and the Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number from Dun & Bradstreet. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. It is important to read the solicitation COMPLETELY as there are DATES that MUST be met by the prospective offeror in order for their proposal to be considered responsive.
