Description

It is the Naval Air Systems Command?s (NAVAIR) intent to award a firm fixed price modification under contract N00019-01-C-0040 on a sole source basis to McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company to procure the efforts required to retrofit Taiwan Navy ASROC Standard Positioning System (SPS) All-Up-Round (AUR) Block II Kits for the Harpoon missile. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETETIVE PROPOSALS. Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Harpoon missile and is the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, technical data, and equipment, facilities and experience to perform this effort within the required timeframe.
