- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE), New Jersey intends to contract sole source with Regent MFG. Inc., 11905 Regentview Ave., Downey, CA 90241-5587, to procure support equipment (SE) in support of the AV-8B. The SE is defined as the Cobra Crane. A Cobra Crane consists of the following parts: P/N 75D110080-1001, NSN 6RX3950-01-157-8809KA. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure two (2) Cobra Cranes via a firm fixed-price contract. Regent MFG. Inc. is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data required to produce these items. The Cobra Crane is a portable, battery powered, hydraulic operated crane. It is 254 inches in length, 88 inches wide, and 95 inches high in its towed position. It is made of steel and has a MTBF of 836 hours. It is set up by hand, capable of lifting 8,300 lbs., able to rotate 360 degrees, explosive proof, EMI qualified to MIL-STD 461D flight deck requirements, and is operational from 1 to 131 degrees F. The Cobra Crane is fully provisioned by NAVICP and has the ability to be repaired at the I Level of Maintenance. Any firms that recognize and can produce the required items are encouraged to identify themselves. The Government does not hold any proprietary rights to any drawings or data. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this item under the authority of 10USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
