- Description
- Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for Natchez Trace Parkway Project TEA-21-NATR 3O14, in Madison County, Mississippi, Solicitation Number DTFH71-04-B-00015. The project consists of removing and replacing Natchez Trace Parkway Bridges over Old Canton Road (Schedule/Option A) and Rice Road (Option B). Work items include roadway excavation, aggregate base placement, pavement construction, precast prestressed concrete piles, structural concrete, reinforcing steel, concrete bridge railing, guardwall, curb and gutter construction, pipe culvert placement and inlet and headwall construction. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000(Schedule/Option A), and $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 (Option B). Bid documents should be issued on or about June 7, 2004. Bids will be due on or about July 8, 2004. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate. IMPORTANT PAYMENT REQUIREMENT According to the DFARS 204.7302, NASA, DoT and Treasury FAR Supplements prospective vendors must be registered in CCR prior to the award of a contract; basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchase agreement. FAR clause 52.232-33 requires registration for payment. www.ccr.gov PLEASE NOTE For security reasons, individuals requiring access to all government buildings must present a valid photo ID and be escorted to their destination by an employee. Due to new security provisions, all visitors attending bid openings are urged to arrive at least 1 hour prior to scheduled bid opening. All visitors must register with the receptionist in Room 180. An employee will collect the bids and escort visitors to a waiting room. Prior to bid opening, an employee will escort all bidders to the bid opening. Unescorted visitors will be denied entry and no exceptions will be made.
