Description

Provide physician coverage of the Life Support Unit (LSU) on nights and weekends and holidays for the VA Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia. Physicians must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in the areas of Internal Medicine, Family Practice or Emergency Medicine with a minimum of 2 years recent emergency room experience. ACLS certification and an active license (in any state) are required. The desired hours of coverage are from 5:00PM - 8:00AM, Monday through Thursday; 8:00AM - 8:00PM, Saturdays; 8:00AM - 8:00PM, Sunday through Monday; and 24-hours on holidays. The VA Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia, requires a total of 96 hours per week or more if holiday coverage is required. The contract start date will be July 17, 2004, with services required for 2 months ending September 16, 2004. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The NAICS Code is 621999 and the size standard is $6.0 million. The anticipated issue date is May 24, 2004.
