MTS equipment trade in One Time Discount 1.1 One Time Discount 1.2 Old Equipment trade in for old MTS controller and cabling NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from MTS Corporation, under FAR part 6.302. This is a sole source award. It represents the upgrade of an existing component, which is part of a larger MTS test system. NASA Glenn Research is upgrading an existing (outdated) component with a newer form of the same component, which is required for overall system compatibility and operations. All Warranties and service agreements will be null and void if this system is purchased from any vendor other than MTS. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12 noon local time on 5/28/04. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
