Description

The Bureau of Reclamation intends to award a sole source purchase order to Mr. John Ward, R.G., Groundwater Consultant, for the performance of geo-hydrology services in participation of a Reclamation-conducted study entitled "Engineering Analysis to Determine the Viability of Developing Groundwater from the C-Aquifier". Mr. Ward has developed and is sole owner of proprietary groundwater models which were used in a Reclamation sponsored study entitled the Hopi Western Navajo Water Supply Study (HWNWSS). The results and data developed under the HWNWSS have been sealed by the Bureau of Reclamation since the study and results could have direct impact on the ongoing Little Colorado Water Rights Adjudication. The C-Aquifer study is directly related to the HWNWSS because there currently exists the potential for closure of both the Black Mesa Peabody Coal Mine and the Mohave Generation Station because groundwater sources currently supplying water to these entities will no longer be available after December 2005. Any entities believing they have the capabilities and specific resources to fulfill Reclamation's requirement are invited to request a proposal package from the Bureau of Reclamation by email to Carlyn K.
