Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase the following items: 3 SYSTRAN 6U VME SCRAMNet and Fiber Media Card with 1MB of memory (2x512KB SIMMs) - Model No. H-AS-D6VME01M-20; 1 SYSTRAN 6U VME SCRAMNet and Fiber Media Card with 8MB of memory (4x2MB SIMMs) - Model No. H-AS-D6VME08M-20; 7 SYSTRAN PCI SCRAMNet & SC150e Fiber Media Card w/2MB of High density memory (1x2MB SIMMs); Model No. H-AS-DPCIG02M-20; and 3 Link Exchange SCRAMNet and Std Link Port Card for LX1500e-Model No. FHSE-S11SL000-00. These Systran Fiber Optic real-time shared memory interface cards are required to support SEMS, which is a test bed for the Tomahawk Weapons Control Systems and consists of multiple launch platform and missile simulations within the Land Attack Systems Integration Laboratory (LASIL). These simulations have been operational since Version 1 was originally developed in 1996 and communicate in real-time using these SCRAMNet fiber optic shared memory interface cards. Additional SCRAMNet shared memory interface cards have been incorporated into the SEMS for version 2.0, completed in 1999, and for version 3.0, in development now. Custom software and hardware drivers have been developed specifically to support the use of these SCRAMNet fiber optic shared memory interface cards in our real-time multi-platform, multi simulation environment. The sole source nature of this procurement is to maintain compatibility with the interface requirements and existing hardware currently operating within the SEMS environment. The fiber optic memory interface cards will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The closing date will be May 28, 2004 with an anticipated award date of June 04, 2004. All items will be priced FOB-Destination, Dahlgren, Virginia. Delivery shall be 30 days after receipt of order. The GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE. Electronic quote submission is encouraged to XDS12@nswc.navy.mil, but the quote may also be faxed to (540) 653-4089 or delivered to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Attn: XDS127, Bld g. 183, room 104, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100.
