- Description
- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to award a Time and Materials Purchase Order (PO) for Logistics Support Services for a 3.5-month period, with an option period of one year. This requirement is set-aside for small businesses. The TSA anticipates award by Friday, June 11, 2004 with an anticipated start date of Tuesday, June 15, 2004. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is considered to be of best value to the Government. The contractor will provide non-personal support services and materials to assist with all pre-and-post transition logistics and supply management activities necessary to facilitate the movement of TSA resources to the new terminal. This includes efforts to stabilize operations (i.e., limit disruption of ongoing operations) throughout the move and to support ongoing activities to ensure efficient and effective operations and process management efforts. The contractor will assist the RSW Program Manager (PM) with technical support, planning support, staging, movement and transition and installation of ancillary support items, materials, supplies, equipment, etc? which support the security screening and business operations functions. Ensuring the timely, seamless and transparent transition of functions to the new operations is of utmost importance. This requires performance during irregular evening hours and weekends. These efforts include the inventory and disposition, for reutilization and/or transfer to other airports, any hardware or material items considered to be obsolete or in excess under the new operation. Throughout all pre-and-post transition efforts, services include acquisition support, movement and maintenance of resources, material movement and distribution.
