Description
THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS! The required service is to provide technical nonpersonal services and materials necessary to prepare and present a course of instruction in accordance with specification and objectives for C-130 Flight Training for aircrew. This refresher training is required by AFI 11-2HC130V1 to maintain aircrews in a Combat Mission Ready (CMR) status. Period of performance is 7 June 04 ? 31 July 04. The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to CAE Systems, Tampa FL which is the only commercial C-130 Flight Training Center in the United States. The contractor shall provide classes of C130H Aircrew Refresher Training (3-day course) at the contractor?s facility. This course is to refresh qualified and current pilots and flight engineers on aircraft systems and procedures in normal, abnormal and emergency situations. The training period should be three days consisting of 12 hours of academics and 12 hours of flight simulator. The course is structured to incrementally progress through the scheduled blocks of academics followed by the associated flight simulator session. Simulator sessions will be flown in two parts with pilots swapping seats at the mid-period break. The course covers aircraft systems and procedures at a level to meet FAA certification for flight engineers. There will be 12 pilots trained and six (6) Flight Engineers trained. Total number of training classes for this period is six(6). Solicitation No. FA2521-04-T-0225 is issued for informational purposes only. It is advertised with Standard Industrial Codes (SIC) of 8299, Business size of $5.0M and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes of 611512. No solicitation will be posted electronically, but this office will provide a copy to any firm requesting one. Anticipated award date will be on or around 07 June 2004.
