Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. (ii) Solicitation W912L7-04-T-0030 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Written documentation will not be issued for this quo te. (iii) The solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 12. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-12. (iv) T he North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334220 with a size standard of no more than 750 employees. (v) Line Item 0100: Rolling Code Scrambler: Rolling code scrambler that provides the ability to install high quality voice security into hundreds of makes and models of two-way radios. Very Low Power Requirements - limits the affect on the battery life of portable radios. Voice Quality - provides cl ear, natural sounding speech and excellent voice recognition, while operating in the secure mode. Medium Hop Rate - offers an excellent mid-range voice security solution by changing codes over 200 times per second. Normal Voice Band Operation - allows for the unaffected use of system's sub-audible signaling options, this includes transparent operation through repeaters. Over-The-Air-Reprogramming (OTAR) - allows security codes to be changed by remote commands while radios remain in the field and operationa l. Radio Disable Function - provides the ability to disable radios, which have been lost or stolen. A disabled radio will be unable to receive or transmit any messages; thus, eliminating any advantage an undesired listener would gain from stealing a radio. Automatic Receive Operation - allows for the automatic detection of both clear and coded incoming signals. This feature prevents the inconvenience of manually switching a radio between clear and coded communication modes. MFG Part Number SC20-430 Quantity : 80 EA. Evaluation factors in paragraph (a) are as follows: The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Condition of item offered to meet government requirements, delivery time, and price. Con dition of item and delivery time when combined are more important than price.
