- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13.5 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. FISC Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract for the following items: Controller Description: Size 1, LVR, 450V, 3 PH for S/A 6813D A. Military specification, contractors and controllers, electric motor A.C. or D.C. and associated switching devices, MIL-DTL-2212H, date 2/10/1997. B. Utilize the latest issue of DODISS as pertinent to the equipment and components ordered as specified in 2.2 of this specification. C. Controller associated with ventilation fan, size A1A4W6, IHP D. Quantity required is 2 E. Duty is to be continuous and general purpose service. F. Control voltage to be 440 volts, A.C., single phase G. For motor field isolation opening of the line contractors shall isolate the load and thermostat control circuits, but shall not isolate other control circuits. H. The ambient temperature shall be 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Maximum permissible temperature rise shall not exceed Table VII or paragraph 3.17.1 I. Low noise required J. Emergency run not required K. Local transfer switch not required L. EMI and arching suppression not required M. General-purpose overload relays shall be used to protect continuous and intermittent duty. N. Ambient pressure compensation not required O. Temperature switch designation is not required. P. Input/Output types for PLC?s not required Q. Space heaters are not required. R. Local indicator lights are not required. S. Controller characteristics are as follows: T. Voltage/Phase rating to be 440 volts A.C., 3 phase U. Special service for submarines not required V. Current rating to be 27 AMPS W. Operation to be magnetic, across-the-line. Protection is to low voltage protection (LVP), overload relay, function is motor starting. X. Controller shall have local start/stop push buttons (LVP), a minimum of 3 main contacts and (3) normally open auxiliary contacts. Push buttons to be engraved start and stop. Y. DC Controller information is not required. Z. A.C. controllers, Size, H.P., current and dimensions shall be in accordance with table V and VI. AA. Enclosure type to be dripproof (45 degrees) BB. Requirements for inclusion of NSN on identification plate is not required. CC. Provision for wiring to an overspeed trip module is not required. DD. As specified, equipment shall withstand Type 1 test of MIL-STD-167-1 without mechanical damage, contact chatter or other electrical malfunctioning. EE. Shock classification for associated switching devices other than specified shall be in accordance with paragraph 3.17.3 (C) and (D). FF. Requirements for resilient mounting of equipment are not required. GG. Packing requirements are not required. HH. PLC dimensions are not required. II. Remote indicating and monitoring circuits are required. JJ. Duration of PLC momentary power loss is not required. All deliverables shall be FOB Destination, NNSY, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. Delivery is required on or before 15 April 2005. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The applicable quotation number is N00181-04-Q-0484 and the NAICS classification is 334513. Inspection and acceptance is at destination. The following provisions/clauses are applicable: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items (price and past performance are equally important in evaluation), 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 (incorporating (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), and (16). ADDENDA: DFAR 252.212-7000, 252.212-7001 incorporating 252.225-7001, DFAR 252.204-7004. Contractors are required to be registered in the CCR (Central Contractor Registration). Lack of registration in the CCR shall make an offeror INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. All responses MUST include a completed copy of the certifications and representations set forth in FAR 52.212-3 and DFAR 252.212-7000 Parties responding to the Request for Quotation may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g.; company letterhead, quote form, etc.) but must include the following: (1) complete mailing/remittance address(es); (2) prompt payment discount (if applicable); (3) delivery schedule; (4) taxpayer (TIN) ID#; and (5) all completed certifications as required herein. All responses must be received by this office NLT 16:00 PM (local time), 18 June 2004, and shall reference the request for quote number N00181-04-Q-0484.
