- The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Veritas Software Corporation of Mountain View, California, for NetBackup DataCenter Maintenance. This acquisition is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7030. The NAICS code is 511210. The contractor shall provide software support for the period from 1 July 2004 through 30 June 2005. The following items will be procured: NetBackup, DataCenter, Library Based Tape Drive Support License, v3.4-Extended Support, Quantity 6; NetBackup, DataCenter, Windows NT/2000, Server License, v3.4 Tier 3-Extended Support; NetBackup, DataCenter, UNIX, Sybase Agent License, v3.4 Tier 1-Extended Support; NetBackup, DataCenter, SAN UNIX Media, Server License v3.4 Tier 1-Extended Support; NetBackup, DataCenter, Exchange Agent License, v3.4 Tier 3-Extended Support, Quantity 2; NetBackup, DataCenter, Shared Storage Option License, v3.4-Extended Support, Quantity 6; NetBackup, DataCenter, SAN NT Media, Server License, v3.4 Tier 3-Extended Support, Quantity 7; NetBackup, DataCenter, SQL Server Agent, v3.4 Tier 3-Extended Support; NetBackup, DataCenter Windows NT, Oracle License, v3.4 Tier 3-Extended Support, Quantity 2; NetBackup, DataCenter, Library Based Tape Drive Support License, v3.4-Extended Support, Quantity 10; NetBackup, DataCenter, SAN NT Media, Server License, v3.4 Tier 2-Extended Support, Quantity 4; and NetBackup, DataCenter, Windows NT/2000, Server License, v3.4 Tier 2-Extended Support. The extended software support must include: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, a toll free support line for problem solving, problem tracking, bug reporting, clarification of documentation, patches and bug fixes, and new releases and versions. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government?s requirement. In addition, the response should include Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items in accordance to FAR 52.212-3. If the offeror does not have a copy of this provision, go to www.arnet.gov to get a copy or contact the contract specialist by e-mail to receive a copy. Any responses received without 52.212-3 will be considered noncompliant. Further, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is 11 June 2004. Responses must be received no later than 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, 10 June 2004. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the response date stated above. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
